As a parent, you know your child best. You notice the small things—the frustration when they can’t express what they want, the silence when other children are babbling, or the struggle to follow simple directions. It’s natural to feel worried, but you are not alone.
At Eyas Landing, we understand that every child develops at their own pace, but sometimes they need a helping hand to find their voice. Early intervention is not just about “fixing” speech; it’s about giving your child the tools to connect with you and the world around them.
Children learn more and faster in the first few years of life than at any other time. Early intervention means providing therapy and support during this critical window—so your child can build essential skills and confidence at the age when progress is most impactful.
Whether you’re concerned about your child’s speech, coordination, social interactions, or daily independence, starting now gives them the strongest possible foundation for the future.
Speech Therapy: Helping Your Child Find Their Voice
Communication goes beyond just talking—it’s how your child connects, shares ideas, and builds relationships. Some children need support to:
Make sounds and use words (expressive language)
Understand directions or follow conversations (receptive language)
Interact with others, take turns, make eye contact (social communication)
Eat safely or try new foods (feeding & swallowing)
At Eyas Landing, our licensed Speech-Language Pathologists use evidence-based, play-focused methods to help your child:
Reduce frustration and tantrums
Boost social skills and friendships
Gain confidence at school and home
Prepare for reading and learning
Every therapy plan is tailored for your child’s needs, led by caring specialists who know how to make progress fun.
Speech Therapy at Eyas Landing: Flexible, Fun, and Effective
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Your family is unique, and your therapy plan should be too. Our licensed speech-language pathologists (SLPs) are experts in pediatric care, specializing in:
Expressive Language: Helping children use words, gestures, and sentences to share their thoughts.
Receptive Language: improving how children understand and process what is said to them.
Articulation & Phonology: Helping children produce sounds clearly so they can be understood by others.
Social Communication: Teaching the “rules” of conversation, like turn-taking and eye contact.
Feeding & Swallowing: specialized support for picky eaters or children with motor challenges.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it too early for therapy if my child is only a toddler? No! Early support is most effective when the brain is growing rapidly. Even subtle concerns—late talking, avoiding messy play, sensitivity to touch—can benefit from timely intervention.
Will you work with my child’s school or other therapists? Absolutely. We coordinate care with your child’s school, daycare, and any other providers for consistency and the best possible progress.
What about insurance or funding? We accept many major insurance plans and can help you understand coverage, Early Intervention funding, and private pay options.
My child can’t sit still. Will therapy even work? Our sessions are movement- and play-based. Children don’t have to sit at a table to learn—we follow their interests and energy to make therapy engaging.
