Who makes up the Early Intervention team?

The family and Service Coordinator make up the foundation for a child’s Early Intervention team. The Service Coordinator is then responsible for finding the best providers to fit the child’s needs. Here at Eyas Landing we have a team of highly qualified, Early Intervention specialists:

  • Occupational Therapist
  • Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Physical Therapist
  • Developmental Therapist
  • Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Together, the Early Intervention therapists seamlessly collaborate to address best practices and individualized treatment plans.

What is Early Intervention?

Early Intervention provides supports and services for families to help their children under the age of 3 years meet their developmental milestones and participate within their family and community.

Who Benefits from Early Intervention?

Any child within the state of Illinois who is under the age of 3 years old and is at risk for delay in meeting developmental milestones.

Early Intervention Techniques

The research supporting Early Intervention suggests that intervention is provided in the child’s natural setting and encourages the family to be involved during sessions to facilitate carry over outside of the therapy sessions.
