Therapeutic Assistant/Behavior Technician Flex - Therapeutic Day Program
3319 N. Elston Ave. Chicago, IL | Clinic-Based | Predictable Monday–Friday, 8:30am-5 PM schedule - no evenings or weekends.
Hourly Rate & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $19-$21/hour, based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role
Eyas Landing - Avondale offers a unique opportunity to provide behavior therapy through our Merlin Day Academy, a fully integrated educational and therapeutic environment for children ages 6-14 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. This is an opportunity to combine Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with a school-based, team-driven program. As a TA/BT Flex, you will foster each child's cognitive, social, emotional, adaptive, and developmental growth.
Responsibilities:
- Providing individualized therapy
- Collecting data on programming
- Providing support during therapeutic rotations
- Implementing evidence-based intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA
- Collaborating daily with teachers, physical and speech therapists, and social workers
- Documenting progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Associate's degree or equivalent college credit (60 credits) required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Completion of 40-hour training of ASD and behavioral related subjects/evidence-based techniques
- Experience working with children or clients with special needs required
- Experience working with children with autism preferred
- Active BACB certification preferred
Working Environment and Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs, including but not limited to lifting children, therapy equipment etc.
- Ability to walk and/or run if needed to keep clients safe.
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques, based on training provided by the company.
- Ability to use hands and arms to prepare and perform required therapy tasks.
- Ability to utilize keyboard, desktop, and ipad to complete documentation required for funders.
