1409 W. Carroll Ave. Chicago, IL | 3:30-6:30pm Monday-Thursday, 3:30-5:30pm Friday; Opportunity for 8am-2pm Saturdays

About the Role
As a Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Eyas Landing, you will provide speech therapy to children and families in our clinic, clients' schools and homes. You'll work with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. You'll foster each child's speech, receptive and expressive language, feeding and swallowing needs.
Responsibilities:
- Providing individualized speech therapy.
- Implementing therapeutic approaches such as Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Get Permission Approach, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM).
- Collaborating daily with occupational and physical therapists, and social workers.
- Documenting progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Required credentials to practice speech therapy.
- Experience working with children and/or clients with special needs preferred.
- Competencies: proactive problem-solving, results-oriented, worksmanship, resourceful, and clear communicator.
Working Environment and Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs, including but not limited to lifting children, therapy equipment etc.
- Ability to walk and/or run if needed to keep clients safe.
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques, based on training provided by the company.
- Ability to use hands and arms to prepare and perform required therapy tasks.
- Ability to utilize keyboard, desktop, and ipad to complete documentation required for funders.
