My Story

After working as a nanny for children that received in home speech therapy services, I realized that being an SLP was both a job that I could work 1:1 with children and make a huge impact. I’ve always known I wanted to work in pediatrics. Being an SLP lets me work 1:1 with kids and see our work directly applied to functional skills and needs. It’s super fulfilling and I’m so excited to start this career path.

My Eyas Landing

I completed my first externship with Eyas Landing at Merlin Day Academy in West Loop from January – March 2023.

My Advocacy

I’m a huge advocate for communication to all, specifically for AAC and their users. Respecting their voice and working to provide access as much as possible. I also support neurodiversity and working towards society embracing the many ways people present. Another area of advocacy of mine is gender orientation and transgender rights. I had the opportunity to work in voice with this population and I want to embody support for all within this community.
