Professional Goals

  1. My professional goals are to increase my clinical experiences as an Occupational Therapist so that I can help clients at the individual level while also developing my advocacy skills to help clients at a systemic level.

My Story

I decided to become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist because I’ve always loved being around and working with children and knew that I wanted to work in a healthcare profession in some capacity. I was introduced to the field of OT by my older sister who is also a Pediatric OT. After finding out about OT and observing OTs in action, I fell in love with the profession and how it is founded upon helping others live in a way that they personally find meaningful. My favorite part about pediatric OT practice is that the primary mode in which we help children achieve their best way of living is through play!

My Eyas Landing

When I was an undergraduate student at Northwestern University, I was a summer intern at Eyas Landing, which is where I first observed OT in action and fell in love with the profession! Upon graduating from Northwestern, I worked for a year as a Therapeutic Assistant at Blue Bird Day prior to starting my OT graduate program.

My Advocacy

I am a supporter of neurodivergent affirming practices and advocating for disability rights. I love the organization Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN).
