My Eyas Landing
Creating and maintaining relationships with families and watching my clients meet their goals and grow. Also, I bike everywhere I go in the city, so I love teaching kids how to ride bikes in the summer.
My Professional Goals
- PCS certification
My Story
I started my training as a physical therapist thinking that I would treat other adults: grandmas with back pain, weekend warriors, maybe an athlete or two. I’ve always loved kids, but as an athlete in high school and college it didn’t occur to me that I could be using my skills for other things besides rehabbing joint replacement and back pain for adults. During PT school, three months on the pediatric floor at a major rehabilitation hospital made the switch very easy; helping individuals reach their functional movement goals (to walk, climb stairs, etc.) while being silly and playing games is too fun of a career opportunity to pass up.
I tell people I teach babies how to walk and school kids how to be strong and confident about how they move and play. The job is exactly as rewarding as it sounds, and I’m very thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given.
