Eyas Landing COVID-19 Precautions

As always, your safety is our highest priority and we’re taking every precaution to ensure you have both safe and therapeutic sessions. Eyas Landing lets you choose which services best suit your needs — now and in the future — and our protective measures are carefully designed and continuously reviewed to keep your family safe every day.

Eyas Landing Pods

We’ve separated clients into therapy pods to limit contact and lessen potential exposure. Each of our therapy pods is a designated group formed by therapists and clients. Our Merlin program, private clients, and summer camp are all sorted into pods.

Notification System

Our notification system has been approved by the Illinois Department of Health and is designed to keep you up-to-date the latest information on COVID-19 should anyone test positive here at Eyas Landing.

Test-to-Stay Protocol

We are now offering a Test-To-Stay option — a process created by the IDPH to help children safely stay in the classroom and other programming — allowing unvaccinated individuals who were exposed to COVID-19 while masked to remain on-site so long as they don’t have symptoms, they wear a mask well, and they test on days 1, 3, 5, and 7 after exposure. We are in the process of acquiring rapid and PCR testing to be available on-site for Test-to-Stay eligible clients.
To qualify for the Test-to-Stay option, individuals must have been masked for the entire time they were exposed. To track possible exposure, we’ve added mask tolerance tracking for each session to our daily reports. We are committed to increasing children’s mask tolerance and are working to help them become comfortable wearing a mask at all times they are around others – for their protection and to protect those around them.
We have created the flow chart below to help clarify our Test-to-Stay COVID-19 options.

Summer Camp

We’ve taken several safety measures for our therapeutic summer camp:

  • Implemented pods to ensure campers and staff interact with a small group
  • Rented 2 additional units in the building complex so our campers can safely spread out during summer
  • Hired additional custodial staff for the expanded space
  • Increased cleaning schedule
  • Provided masks to all staff

Virtual Therapy

We understand that you may remain cautious about interacting with others while so much remains uncertain about COVID-19. For you, we offer virtual therapy, utilizing a personal HIPPA compliant video conference platform to provide face-to-face screenings, evaluations, and therapy in your home. Video conferencing sessions are conveniently scheduled around your family’s routine to best support your family in the home environment.
