My Story
I decided to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) because I am passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals, particularly children, by using evidence-based approaches to foster positive behavior change. Becoming a BCBA allows me to work closely with individuals and to help them gain essential skills and improve their quality of life. The field of behavior analysis offers a unique blend of science and compassion, and I was drawn to its ability to provide tangible, lasting results. Being a BCBA empowers me to contribute to children’s growth and success in a profound and rewarding way.
My Professional Goals
Enhance Clinical Expertise through Continued Education: As a new BCBA, one of my primary goals is to continuously expand my knowledge of evidence-based practices and stay current with the latest research in behavior analysis. By attending workshops, pursuing advanced certifications, and participating in professional networks, I aim to sharpen my clinical skills, ensuring that I can provide the most effective and ethical interventions to the individuals I work with, particularly in the pediatric population.
Develop Strong Collaborative Relationships with Families and Care Teams: Another key goal is to foster open and effective communication with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams. By building collaborative partnerships, I can ensure that treatment plans are aligned with the unique needs and values of the child and their support system. I want to empower families to be active participants in the therapeutic process, creating a supportive environment that extends beyond therapy sessions for long-term success.
