Zones Camp

June 26th – June 30th | M-F 8:30am – 1:00pm

Our Zones Camp helps children become more aware of their emotions and impulses by utilizing the Zones of Regulation curriculum. The camp focuses on improving their ability to problem solve conflicts more independently, practicing reading facial expressions, and building vocabulary around emotional regulation. Your child will enjoy this highly active and engaging camp!

Ages: 4 – 10 years old

Sports Camp

July 24th – July 28th | M-F 8:30am – 1:00pm

The Sports camp is a great way for kids to explore a variety of sports with modifications and supports. Sports include soccer, T-ball, kickball, and basketball. Children first learn how to play the game through stories and visual diagrams. Then, children learn the basics of each sport through games, and playing the sport. The focus of play is team work, gross motor skills, visual motor coordination, and waiting/turn-taking.

Ages: 3 – 10 years old

Sensory Explorers

July 10th – July 21st | M-F 8:30am – 1:00pm

Does your child love getting messy? Or is your child apprehensive about touching unknown textures? Our Sensory Explorers participate in activities that explore their sensory systems: touching textures, dancing and obstacle courses for moving their bodies, and choosing music to fit their body’s needs. Activities are both structured and unstructured to meet each child’s needs, with a primary focus of play-based learning.

Ages: 3 – 10 years old

Bike Riding

July 31st – August 4th | M-F 8:30am – 1:00pm

Bike riding can be challenging—it takes coordination in the arms and legs, and overall body strength. Bike Riding Camp sets children up for success by using preparatory activities that promote coordination and strength related to bike riding as well as bike modifications. Children will have the opportunity to use a variety of bikes and other wheeled equipment, including tricycles, two-wheelers with and without training wheels, and the Strider bike. By using different bikes, children can better understand how to navigate wheels and become more successful with bike riding.

Ages: 4 – 10 years old

Let’s Write

August 7th – August 18th | M-F 8:30am – 1:00pm

At Let’s Write Camp, children prepare their bodies and hands for writing by participating in core and hand strengthening activities that translate to success at the tabletop. Children learn how to correctly form letters using varying modalities (e.g. Play-doh, sand, wooden sticks, and pencil and paper), how to hold a pencil, and writing within and on lines. By the end of Let’s Write camp, children feel more confident in their abilities to write at home and at school.

Ages: 5 – 10 years old

Nature Camp

August 21th – August 25th | M-F 8:30am – 1:00pm

Our nature camp offers your child the chance to have fun and explore the outdoors in a safe, structured environment. Using our nature roofdeck, campers will explore nature, get their hands dirty while learning the basics of gardening, and gain confidence in themselves and the outdoors. Nature Camp is a fantastic way to end the summer, where your child will get to experience the sights, scents, and textures of a freshly planted garden.

Intensive Therapeutic Services

Eyas Landing provides intensive therapeutic services to augment existing therapy services. Intensive therapeutic services are a structured schedule created to provide a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach fitting each client’s specific needs. These therapeutic plans target the essential skills needed to form independence and are based on therapist recommendation and family’s availability.  Intensive therapeutic services are highly successful with generalizing skills at home and in the community.

In Home Services

Eyas Landing therapists provide support in the home and community setting.  Home environments facilitate caregiver training and education on behavior management and sensory processing difficulties.  Additionally, home services increase a child’s participation in home and community activities, including but not limited to dressing, bathing, grooming, eating, and going to the store.  Therapists and caregivers form a collaborative team for approaching successful strategies related to home and community activities.

Merlin Program

The Merlin Program at Eyas Landing is a therapeutic program designed in a school setting for children ages 6 and up. The award winning curriculum that is regularly used across Chicagoland is easily modified to fit each individual child’s needs.  Children will be exposed to group instruction and social interactions along with individual care with a ratio of 2:1 or 1:1. This structure is similar to the successful therapeutic preschool and kindergarten at Blue Bird Day and is intended as the next step in that program, based on age and development.

Learn more abut Blue Bird Day or contact Eyas Landing for more information about enrollment at The Merlin Program.
