Name the moment that inspired you to take your career path.
One experience that inspired me to find a career in helping others was when I was in middle school and had a classmate with ASD. I had an opportunity to work with this individual for a class project. During the project, I incorporated an area of interest as much as possible for discussions and ideas. I observed the individual become really engaged, excited, and communicative throughout the activity, which I had never observed before. This made me realize that there is always a way to relate to someone if you take the time to understand them and who they are. It’s so fulfilling to work in a field where I can learn those interests while also applying therapy to help kiddos succeed.
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
I consider my greatest accomplishment to be finding a career path that allows me to be fulfilled while also giving me an opportunity to make a difference in others’ lives.
