Name the moment that inspired you to take your career path.I had an internship in college for kids with ASD and they all stole my heart! I connected with these kiddos instantly and decided to point my career in the direction of providing ABA services for those in need. I couldn’t be happier with my decision!
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment? At my first ABA job, I started out with a client that came to full-day therapy in the clinic. I was his only therapist! I then got to slowly transition him into a typical Kindergarten classroom, where I ended up going to school with him full-time. He did so well that I slowly transitioned myself out of the classroom. He is now independently attending a typical First Grade classroom and no longer needs ABA services! It’s bittersweet, but very proud of myself!
What do you love most about working at Eyas Landing?I love how everyone at Eyas Landing is willing to support each other in every way. I have gained so much knowledge about other disciplines and how they benefit our clientele, as well as in my own discipline. I am forever learning around passionate people!
How has the supervision at Eyas Landing supported your professional growth? The supervision at Eyas has encouraged me to explore what other services can be utilized in a therapeutic setting, which might one day lead me to another career adventure!
