Name the moment that inspired you to take your career path. While working with a company that provided occupational therapy services in a mainstream gymnastics facility, I was inspired by the unique role of OT in facilitating not only motor development, but also social emotional skills, safety awareness, self-advocacy, and executive functioning abilities – all within a context that was motivating and child-centered. It was at this moment that I knew I had found a career that combined my passions for holistic wellness, social and physical sciences, and community-based engagement.
