Throughout high school and college, I was consistently involved in pediatric work, most often with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. After undergrad, I worked as a paraprofessional aide in therapeutic schools for children with autism. It was here that I had the opportunity to work closely with occupational therapists for the first time. I was drawn to the ways in which OTs used creative problem-solving to support students’ independence in school and in the community. I knew that it was something I wanted to be a part of!
My Eyas Landing
I completed my second Level II Fieldwork rotation at Eyas Landing in the summer of 2020. I am very excited to return to Eyas to join the team as an OT!
I hope to work closely with other therapists to develop successful strategies for consistent family/caregiver engagement in therapy. I would like to pursue continuing education that supports my knowledge, skills, and ability to work with medically complex children and children with rare diagnoses.
