My Story

I’ve been working as an RBT for approximately eight months now, and I have learned a lot from observing my clients and positive feedback from the BCBAs. Before working as a RBT, I was in the AmeriCorps program for two years, and I worked at the hospital. I noticed for me to help children, I should focus more on the adults. I supported the adults to be aware of childhood trauma and the importance of mental health. After reading on childhood trauma for the past year or so and listening to Oprah Winfrey’s interview with 60 Minutes, I learned that individuals who experienced trauma early in childhood have a significant impact on the development of the brain way it works.

My Professional Goals

  1. My goal is to grow in the field, and hopefully, one day, I will become a BCBA.

Thank you for being a team player. You’re always open to feedback and you make sure your client is doing well. Keep up the good work!
