Dr. Laura Mraz, OTD, OTR/L

Clinic Director – Occupational Therapist

Laura discovered her true passion, occupational therapy, in a unique and unexpected way. While teaching preschool at Tiny Tots International Preschool in Shanghai, China, Laura had her first experience working with a child with autism and a sensory processing disorder. She observed the transformational effects of occupational therapy treatment on the child’s ability to learn, engage with others and further explore his world. Determined to continue impacting young children in the same capacity, Laura moved to Chicago and established her company, Eyas Landing, Inc.

Over the next 8 years, Laura gained extensive experience in DIR/Floortime, Sensory Integration, Developmental Therapy, Early Intervention and Evidence-Based Practice. In addition, she received her clinical doctorate in occupational therapy from University of Illinois at Chicago. She focused her doctoral studies on the importance of building relationships with clients in order to enhance therapeutic outcomes and goals.

Laura, now the Clinic Director at Eyas Landing, recently expanded services to include a therapeutic preschool program that blends the most effective treatment approaches into a typical preschool day. Laura still remains as passionate about occupational therapy and working with children with autism and SPD as she was when she was first introduced to the field. It is with this passion, true dedication to her clients, and overall drive to provide effective treatment that Laura continues to develop services at Eyas Landing. She currently serves as a mentor and clinical supervisor to therapists at Eyas Landing, consults with pediatricians at Rush University’s Developmental Pediatrics Department and provides guest lectureships at local occupational therapy programs, including her alma mater, University of Illinois at Chicago. Laura has a young daughter and enjoys traveling with her family.
